Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:
• a road closure in that length of Pickwick Road, Fairfield Park, Bath from its junction with Fairfield Avenue extending north to a point outside 12 Pickwick Road. USRN: 47901224.
• a footpath closure in that length of Footpaths Whitewells Road, Fairfield Park, Bath from a point outside the rear of 65 Whitewells Road extending north west to a point outside 30 Whitewells Road. USRN: 47901942.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road/footpath to enable Openreach to lay ducting from the 4th February 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road/footpath will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for TWO DAYS between 08:00 – 17:00hrs.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Dead-end road.
PEDESTRIAN ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Footpaths Whitewells Road – Whitewells Road – Vice versa.
