Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:
• a road closure in that length of Oldfield Lane, Oldfield Park, Bath from a point outside 10 Oldfield Lane extending east to a point outside 26 Oldfield Lane. USRN: 47901198.
• A footpath closure in that length of Footpaths Durley Park, Oldfield Park, Bath at the side of properties 2 & 4 Durley Park. USRN: 47901813.
• A footpath closure in that length of Footpaths Durley Park, Oldfield Park, Bath at the rear of properties 2 & 4 Durley Park extending south east to a point outside 23 Durley Park. USRN: 47901813.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road/footpath to enable Openreach to install floor boxes and duct in the footway from the 24th February 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road/footpath will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for THREE DAYS between 08:00 – 17:00hrs.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Oldfield Lane: Dead-end road – Access will be maintained for residents.
