Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close temporarily to pedestrians and cyclists that length of Old Course of Green Park Road, Bath from its junction with Ambury/Broad Quay extending for approximately 80 metres. USRN: 47961884.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath to enable Wessex Water to undertake cleaning and surveying of the sewers on the 12th January 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. The footpath will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for ONE DAY between 08:30 – 16:30hrs.
PEDESTRIAN ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Ambury – Corn Street – Vice versa.
CYCLIST ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Westbound: Ambury – Corn Street.
Eastbound: Corn Street – St James’s Parade – Southgate Street – Broad Quay.
