Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:
• a road closure in that length of Moorledge Road, Stowey from its junction with A368 Wick Road extending north west to a point outside the property known as Bishops Lodge. USRN: 47920319.
• a 40mph speed limit will be introduced in that length of A368 Wick Road, Stowey approximately 400 metres north east from its junction with Moorledge Road extending south for approximately 600 metres. USRN: 47961289.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Openreach to install new poles on the 27th May 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for ONE DAY between 08:00 – 18:00hrs.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A368 – Bonhill Road – Bonhill Lane – Hollowbrook Lane – Walley Lane – Wally Court Road – B3114 – B3130 – Tunbridge Road – Moorledge Road – Vice versa.
