Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of:
• Monksdale Road, Moorlands, Bath from a point outside 41 Monksdale Road extending south west to a point outside 43 Monksdale Road. USRN: 47901070.
• Hillside Road, Moorlands, Bath from a point outside 80 Hillside Road extending north west to its junction with Monksdale Road. USRN: 47900709.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Openreach to lay new duct from the 15th June 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for THREE DAYS between 09:30 – 17:00hrs.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Monksdale closure: Monksdale Road (remainder) – The Oval – Chestnut Grove – Coronation Avenue – Lymore Terrace – Claude Avenue – Bridge Road – Cynthia Road – St Kilda's Road – Melcombe Road – Beckhampton Road – Monksdale Road – Vice versa.
Hillside closure: Hillside Road (remainder) – Ashford Road – Moorfields Road – The Oval – Monsdale Road – Vice versa.
