Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Margaret’s Hill, Walcot, Bath from its junction with A4 London Street/London Road extending north to its junction with Lower Hedgemead Road. This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Contractors to carry out Section 50 works to install drainage and electrical connections from the 2nd March 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for SIXTEEN DAYS.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Margaret’s Hill (remainder) – Gay’s Hill – Camden Road – Camden Crescent – Lansdown Road – The Paragon – London Street / London Road – Vice versa.
