Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:
A road closure in that length of Manvers Street, City Centre, Bath from its junction with Railway Street extending south to its junction with Dorchester Street. USRN: 47913506.
A suspension of the 7.5 tonne weight limit along the lengths of roads listed in Schedule 1 of this order, to allow vehicles to travel along these roads, as part of the diversion route.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road due crane works on the 28th September 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works.
Works are anticipated to be carried out over four Sunday nights between 20:00 – 05:00hrs on the following dates:
Sunday 28th September 2025
Sunday 5th October 2025
Sunday 12th October 2025
Sunday 19th October 2025
