Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of:
• Kingston Road, City Centre, Bath from a point just after Lower Service Yard entrance extending south to its junction with Railway Street. USRN: 47901040.
• Railway Street, City Centre, Bath from its junction with Kingston Road extending east to its junction with A3039 Manvers Street. 47901283.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Wessex Water to undertake trial digs to find possible leak in the carriageway from the 12th August 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for THREE DAYS.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A3039 Manvers Street – Henry Street – Kingston Road – Vice versa.
