Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily:
Introduce a no right-turn restriction on Harrington Place. Vehicles will only be able to turn left from Harrington Place onto Barton Street and exit via Beauford Square.
Introduce a no right-turn restriction on Trim Street. Vehicles exiting Trim Street will need to exit via Beauford Square.
Introduce a no right-turn restriction on Upper Borough Walls. Vehicles will only be able to turn left from Upper Borough Walls onto Northgate Street.
Suspend the one-way restriction on Barton Street to allow two-way traffic between the junctions of Harrington Place and Trim Street.
Introduce road closures in the lengths of roads listed in Schedule 1.
This order is required to facilitate the Jane Austen Festival Grand Regency Costumed Promenade on 12th September 2026 between the times listed in Schedule 1.
The no right-turn restrictions and suspension of the one-way will be in operation between 10:45 – 13:00hrs.
Roads will only be closed as and when signs/marshals are in position.
