Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a footpath closure in that length of the riverside footpath, Footpath Serving Spring Gardens to Ferry Lane / Footpath Spring Gardens to Pulteney Weir, Bath from a point just past Beazer Garden Maze near the Bath Rugby Riverside entrance, extending south for approximately 164 metres to a point near the south gate entrance.
The order is required to prevent obstruction during Bath Rugby match days from Saturday 16th May 2026, between 12:30hrs – 18:00hrs until the end of the 2026 rugby season. The footpath will only be closed between 12:30hrs – 18:00hrs during home match days and will be open as usual at all other times.
