Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:
• a road closure in that length of Eastfield Avenue from its junction with High Street extending north to its junction with Brookfield Park. USRN: 47900385.
• a road closure in that length of High Street from its junction with Harcourt Gardens extending to a point 80 metres north west of Eastfield Avenue. USRN: 47900077.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Bath & North East Somerset Council to carry out highway improvement works from the 16th March 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works.
Eastfield Avenue closure: Works are anticipated to be for THREE WEEKS.
High Street closure: Works are anticipated to be for TWO NIGHTS between 19:00 – 07:00hrs.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Eastfield Avenue: Eastfield Avenue (remainder) – Lansdown Lane – High Street – Vice Versa.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: High Street: High Street (remainder) – Lansdown Lane – Lansdown Road – Julian Road – Crescent Lane – Weston Road – Weston Lane – Crown Road – High Street – Vice versa.
