Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce 2 x loading bays in that length of Dorchester Street, City Centre, Bath. The 2 x Dorchester Street bus stops outside / opposite Bath Spa Railway Station (bus stop ID’s: bthmtpm / bthjpta) shall be suspended and temporary loading bays shall be introduced on both bus stops.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to prevent vehicles stopping to make deliveries in unsafe places whilst the Manvers Street road closure is in place from the 21st July 2026 for a maximum period of 18 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. The temporary loading bays are anticipated to be in place between 21st July – 20th November 2026.
