Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of:
• Cotswold Road, Moorlands, Bath from a point outside 90 Cotswold Road extending east to its junction with Egerton Road. USRN: 47913405.
• Egerton Road, Moorlands, Bath from a point outside 22 Egerton Road extending west to its junction with Cotswold Road. USRN: 47919706.
• Chantry Mead Road, Moorlands, Bath from its junction with Cotswold Road / Egerton Road, extending south to its junction with Hensley Road. USRN: 47900418.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Bath & North East Somerset Council to carry out highway improvement works from the 30th March 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for THREE WEEKS.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Cotswold Road (remainder) – Ashford Road – Moorfields Road – Chantry Mead Road – Bloomfield Park – Englishcombe Lane – Bloomfield Road – Hensley Road – Egerton Road – Vice versa.
