Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of:
Cooks Hill, Clutton from a point outside 15 The Mead extending east to a point outside 26 The Mead. USRN: 47916491.
The Mead, Clutton at its junction with Cooks Hill extending north for approximately 25 metres. USRN: 47902639.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Openreach to renew, replace, raise and lower Frame and Cover from the 26th May 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for THREE DAYS.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Cooks Hill diversion: Cooks Hill (remainder) – A37 – Lower Bristol Road – Station Road – Cooks Hill – Vice versa.
