Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of:
• Claremont Buildings, Fairfield, Park, Bath from its junction with Evelyn Terrace extending west to a point opposite 18 Claremont Buildings. USRN: 47900474.
• Claremont Buildings, Fairfield, Park, Bath from its junction with Evelyn Terrace extending east to a point opposite 8 Claremont Buildings. USRN: 47900474.
• Evelyn Terrace, Fairfield Park, Bath from its junction with Claremont Buildings extending north to its junction with Queenwood Avenue. USRN: 47913428.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Openreach to install duct in the footway/carriageway from the 2nd March 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for THREE DAYS between 08:00 – 17:00hrs.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Dead-end road – Access will be maintained for residents.
