Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of:
Charlton Park, Midsomer Norton at its junction with the A367 Fosseway South, extending west for approximately 50 metres. USRN: 47903403.
Beauchamp Avenue, Midsomer Norton at its northern junction with A367 Fosseway South, extending west for approximately 50 metres. USRN: 47961858.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Contractors to carry out S50 drainage upgrade works for the Barratt Homes development from the 20th October 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for NINE WEEKS.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Charlton Park closure: A367 – Charlton Road – Charlton Park – Vice versa.
Beauchamp Avenue closure: A367 - Beauchamp Avenue southern junction – Vice versa.
Only one road will be closed at a time.
