Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Camden Road, Beacon Hill, Bath from its junction with Gay’s Hill extending south west to a point outside 20 Upper Camden Place. This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Wessex Water to carry out Section 81 works to replace a manhole cover/frame in the carriageway from the 22nd July 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for TWO DAYS between 09:30 – 15:00hrs.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Camden Road (remainder) – Eastbourne Avenue – Claremont Road – St Saviour’s Road – St Saviour’s Way – A4 London Road / London Street / The Paragon – Lansdown Road – Camden Crescent – Camden Road – Vice versa.
