Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:
• A no entry restriction on Bloomfield Road, Bath from its junction with Frome Road. USRN: 47900327.
• A no right-turn and no left-turn restriction at the junction of Frome Road onto Bloomfield Road – traffic will need to follow the diversion route.
• A one-way restriction on Bloomfield Road between Somerdale Avenue and Frome Road. From the Somerdale Avenue junction, traffic will only be able to travel southbound towards Frome Road.
• A no right-turn restriction from Chelwood Drive onto Bloomfield Road.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Wales & West Utilities to carry out gas main upgrade works from the 9th June 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for FOUR WEEKS. Access will be maintained for residents only.
