Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of:
• Binces Lodge Lane, Midsomer Norton from its junction with Bowlditch Lane extending west for approximately 150 metres. USRN: 47903379.
• Millards Hill, Midsomer Norton from a point outside 25 Millards Hill extending north east to a point outside Welton Hill Cottages. USRN: 47917227.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Openreach to lay duct in the carriageway / verge to link existing BT Boxes to facilitate spine cabling works from the 30th October 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for FOUR DAYS.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Binces Lodge Lane closure: Access will be maintained for residents.
Millards Hill closure: Millards Hill (remainder) – A362 – Monger Lane – Water Lane – Bowlditch Lane – Binces Lodge Lane – Vice versa.
