Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:
•A road closure in that length of Stall Street, City Centre, Bath approximately 5 metres north of its junction with York Street.
•A road closure in that length of Bath Street, City Centre, Bath at its junction with Stall Street.
•A temporary suspension of the one-way restriction on the following roads, whilst the closures are in place, to allow two-way traffic on:
o Hot Bath Street between Lower Borough Walls and Beau Street
o Bath Street for its entire length
o Lower Borough Walls for its entire length
o Stall Street for its entire length
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Bath & North East Somerset Council to carry out investigative and remedial work in the vault below from the 26th June 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works.
CLOSURE WILL ONLY BE LIVE WHEN SIGNS AND MARSHALS ARE IN POSITION.
