Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a one-way restriction in that length of B3355 Northmead Road, Midsomer Norton from a point approximately outside 55 Northmead Road extending north to its junction with the roundabout on A362 Thicket Mead. This means that traffic will only be able to travel along Northmead Road in a southbound direction. Traffic travelling northbound will need to follow the diversion. USRN: 47921581.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Bristol Water to install a new water connection from the 9th January 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to take place over TWO WEEKENDS.
Phase 1: from 19:00hrs on Friday 9th January until Sunday 11th January 2026
Phase 2: from 19:00hrs on Friday 16th January until Sunday 18th January 2026
