Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:
• A road closure in that length of The Avenue, Combe Down, Bath from its junction with A3062 North Road extending south to a point outside Combe Down Garage car park entrance. USRN: 47900061.
• A suspension of the one-way in that length of The Avenue, Combe Down, Bath to allow two-way traffic from its junction with The Firs extending north to a point outside Combe Down Garage car park entrance. A marshall will be on site to support vehicles in/out.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Wessex Water to install a new connection in the carriageway/footpath/verge from the 1st December 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for THREE DAYS.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: The Avenue (remainder) – Church Road – Combe Road – A3062 North Road – Vice versa.
