Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:
• A temporary 20mph speed limit on A4 Bath Road Main Road Section from its junction with Fairfield Way extending south east onto A4 Bath Road, Saltford to its junction with Grange Road.
• A one-way restriction on Pixash Lane at its junction with the A4 Bath Road Main Road Section. Vehicles will only be able to access Pixash Lane from the A4. Vehicles will not be able to exit Pixash Lane onto the A4 and will need to follow the diversion.
• A one-way restriction on Grange Road at its junction with the A4 Bath Road. Vehicles will only be able to access Grange Road from the A4. Vehicles will not be able to exit Grange Road onto the A4 and will need to follow the diversion.
• A road closure in that length of A4 Bath Road Main Road Section from its junction with Fairfield Way extending south east onto A4 Bath Road to its junction with Grange Road. USRN: 47916570 / 47916573.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Contractors to carry out surfacing and highway improvement works in relation to the new CURO housing development from the 13th October 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works.
The road closure will take place between 20:00 – 06:00hrs only and is anticipated to take TEN NIGHTS. Closure dates to be confirmed.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Pixash Lane one-way: Pixash Lane (remainder) – Ashmead Road – Broadmead Lane – A4.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Grange Road one-way: Grange Road (remainder) – Manor Road – Montague Road – Manor Road – A4.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A4 Bath Road road closure: A4 (remainder) – A39 – A368 – A37 – A4174 – A4 – Vice versa.
