Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:
• a road closure in that length of A3039 Manvers Street, City Centre, Bath from its junction with Henry Street extending south to its junction with Dorchester Street. USRN: 47913506.
• a suspension of the one-way restriction in that length of Kingston Road and Railway Street in order to allow vehicles to exit the area via Henry Street and Pierrepont Street, whilst Manvers Street is closed.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Bath & North East Somerset Council to carry out GPR, below-ground service, drainage surveys and associated highway remedial works from the 9th March 2026 for a maximum period of 18 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for EIGHTEEN MONTHS:
• GPR, below-ground service & drainage surveys are anticipated to take place each night between 20:00 – 05:00hrs on the 9th, 10th 11th, 12th & 13th March 2026.
• Highway remedial works are anticipated to take place between Spring - Winter 2026, final dates to be confirmed.
