NOTICE is given that the Bath and North East Somerset Council has made an order under provisions contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will introduce the following variations to restrictions in North East Somerset Area:-

 

  1. Introduce No Parking At Any Time in lengths of Hamilton Way, Stockwood Lane, Staunton Lane, Old Vicarage Court - Whitchurch, High Street – Chew Magna, Aumery Gardens, High Street, Eastover Road – High Littleton, Bathampton Lane, Holcombe Lane – Bathampton, Wellow Lane – Peasedown St John, Ham Lane, Winterfield Road – Paulton, Gullock Tyning - Midsomer Norton, Gibbet Lane - Norton Malreward, and Lansdown Crescent – Timsbury.

  2. Introduce No Stopping On School Keep Clear Markings At Any Time in lengths of Bath Road, Peasedown St John.

  3. Introduce 4-hour Limited Waiting parking bays, operating 8am – 6pm in lengths of Bathford Hill and Ostlings Lane, Bathford.

  4. Introduce Bus Stop Clearway markings in lengths of Greenvale Drive and The Avenue, Timsbury.

  5. Introduce 3-hour Limited Waiting parking bays, operating 8am – 6pm in lengths of Northmead Road and Gullock Tyning, Midsomer Norton.

  6. Introduce a 1 Hour Limited Waiting Bay, No Return within 1 Hour operating 7am – 7pm / Taxi Bay operating 7pm – 7am in lengths of High Street, Midsomer Norton.

  7. Remove Disabled Parking bay in lengths of South Road, Midsomer Norton.

  8. Introduce No Parking / No Loading At Any Time in lengths of Wells Road, Radstock.

  9. Introduce No Parking / No Loading Mon-Fri, 8:00–9:30 and 14:30–16:30 in lengths of Wells Road, Radstock.

The order will come into operation on 10th November 2025. Full details of the proposal together with a map and a Statement of the Council’s Reasons for making the order may be inspected at the One Stop Shops at Manvers Street, Bath, The Hollies, High Street, Midsomer Norton and at the Civic Centre, Market Walk, Keynsham during normal office hours. Any person who desires to question the validity of, or any provision contained in the order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any of the relevant requirements of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, may within six weeks after the date on which the order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
