Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Redfield Road, Midsomer Norton from its junction with St Chad’s Green extending south and west to its junction with Paulton Road. USRN: 47917437.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Wales & West Utilities to carry out gas main upgrade works from the 21st July 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for SIX WEEKS and will be carried out in 3 phases for 2 weeks at each location (access will be maintained for residents):
• Phase 1 – from its junction with St Chad’s Green extending to its junction with Steam Mills.
• Phase 2 – from its junction with Steam Mills extending to its junction with Providence Place.
• Phase 3 – from its junction with Providence Place extending to its junction with Paulton Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Paulton Road – North Road – B3355 – Redfield Road – Vice versa.
