Interim planning guidance

Co-living is a relatively new model of housing with no standard policy definition. We don't have a policy relating to co-living schemes in our adopted B&NES Local Plan. 

Following a public consultation, we have published an interim Position Statement to clarify the position we will take to ensure that our approach aligns with Local Plan policy, with regard to the following topics:

• Amenity standards

• Occupancy

• Sustainable construction

• Affordable housing contribution

• Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) liability
