When an owner intends to sell or dispose of a registered Asset of Community Value, they must notify us. Expand the sections below to view the address of each asset, important dates and a timeline of notices and updates about the disposal process.

4 September 2026: We have received a notification from Shoscombe Community Benefit Society Ltd explaining that they will not be making an offer to buy The Apple Tree Inn at midnight on 3 September 2026.
There is an 18-month protected period (running from the date the owner originally notified the council of their intention to sell, ending at midnight on 3 September 2027) during which a further moratorium cannot be triggered. The owner may market and dispose of the asset without another delay during that period.
- 24 March 2026: We have received an expression of interest from Shoscombe Community Benefit Society to bid for the purchase of the pub. The date that the full moratorium will be completed will be midnight on 3 September 2026. Once we arrive at this date, the owner will be free to choose how they wish to proceed.
- 3 March 2026: The owner has written to us confirming that the pub is for sale and remains on the market. The initial six week moratorium period will end at midnight on Tuesday 14 April 2026.
- 30 January 2026: The owner has notified during the nomination process of the intention to sell the property.

- 26 May 2026: We have received an expression of interest from Bear Flat Association to bid for the purchase of the buildings. The date that the full moratorium will be completed will be midnight on 20 October 2026. Once we arrive at this date, the owner will be free to choose how they wish to proceed.
- 20 April 2026: The owner notified us of the intention to dispose of the property. The initial six-week moratorium period will end at midnight on Monday 1 June 2026.

- 2 June 2026: We have received an expression of interest from Newbridge Community Hub Limited to bid for the purchase of the buildings. The date that the full moratorium will be completed will be midnight on 26 November 2026. Once we arrive at this date, the owner will be free to choose how they wish to proceed.
- 26 May 2026: The owner notified us of the intention to dispose of the property. The initial six-week moratorium period will end at midnight on Tuesday 7 July 2026.
