NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 that following the resignation of Cllr Deborah Collins a casual vacancy has arisen for the office of Councillor for the Widcombe & Lyncombe ward of Bath & North East Somerset Council.
Requests to hold a by-election
Requests to hold a by-election to fill the casual vacancy must be made in writing to the Chief Executive of Bath & North East Somerset Council by two local government electors registered to vote in Bath and North East Somerset.
Timing of the by-election
Once the requests to hold a by-election have been received, the date for polling day will be set within 35 working days* of the date of receipt of the requests.
