Grants generally of either £4,000 or £5,000 are available to UK registered charities that are working to advance education, relieve poverty, support children and for medical charities in the UK and/or overseas.
The Foundation makes donations twice annually of between £2,000 and £5,000 each. Donations are generally targeted sums for specific projects or initiatives rather than to support general expenditure. The Foundation welcomes appeals from smaller specialist charities where a relatively small grant can make a real difference.
Grants are not normally available for charities working in the following areas:
• Cultural.
• Location-specific charities, or
• Religious causes.
Charities wishing to apply for a grant from the Foundation are invited to do so by email for specific projects or a defined area of action. The Foundation requests that email appeals are kept as brief as possible.
Applications for grants should be made by email to admin@grundyfoundation.uk and should include:
• The name and address of the applying charity.
• Charity registration number, and
• The objectives of the organisation.
