Grants of varying amounts are available to UK registered charities working in the UK and/or overseas to help:
- Alleviate poverty.
- Promote health and education.
- Support the arts.
- Research.
- Religious activities, and
- Provide decent housing.
The objective of the Trust is to distribute at least 50% of its available funds to Jewish charities. Of the remainder, at least 50% is given to charities working primarily overseas.
The Trust defines a Jewish charity as “one whose primary focus is promoting or furthering interests of Jewish people, communities, or heritage. These may be charities which support non-Jewish people alongside Jewish people, which promote Jewish interests thereby”. The Trust invites applications for grants from other charities that meet these objectives. The Trust is aiming to increase its grant funding over the next 7 years or so.
Please note that the Trust does not have a website. Further information is available, however, on the Charity Commission website.
Applications may be made at any time in writing.
