The H C Foundation

The Foundation makes a limited number of grants to registered charities in England working in the areas of education, and the relief of poverty and sickness. Charities that support the Jewish community are favoured.

The Foundation’s charitable objectives are:

  • The advancement of education by providing and assisting in the provision of appropriate facilities required for such purposes.
  • The relief of financial hardship, poverty and sickness by making grants of money for providing or paying for items, services or facilities, or providing such persons with goods or services which they could not otherwise afford through lack of means, and
  • Such other charitable purpose as the trustees may from time to time authorise.

The Foundation states that it receives - and will consider - requests from all over England, subsequently making donations based on the level of funds available. However, the Foundation’s funding history suggests that a its grant-making is mostly directed towards a small number of Jewish causes.

Please note that the Foundation does not have a website.  Further information is available on the Charity Commission website.

Enquiries about the prospect of grant support may be made at any time in writing.
