Organisation Grants

Motability is an independent charity that invests in research, transport programmes and support which are critical to giving disabled people in the UK the ability to get around.

Through these grants, they support organisations that provide services for disabled people, or work to make transport more accessible.

The following organisation grants are on offer at present:

Building a Resilient Community and Shared Transport Sector

  • Value: £50,000 to £1 million
  • Duration: 1 to 3 years
  • Deadline: 30 January 2026

This funding is for organisations that are looking to deliver something innovative related to shared community transport, which has the potential to either be replicated elsewhere, or develop a tool that can be of benefit to other providers.

Expanding Access to Driving Tuition for Disabled People

  • Value: £50,000 to £1 million
  • Duration: 1 to 3 years
  • Deadline: 31 March 2026

This funding round provides grants to organisations that provide driving lessons and car adaptations to help disabled people access transport.

It funds organisations that provide driving tuition for disabled people. Organisations can apply for funding to support the continuation or expansion of existing services and support others to access this provision.

Requests can include the costs for vehicles, adaptations, staff costs, approved driving instructor (ADI) costs, training, communication materials and overheads.

Motability also offers grants to individuals and their families through their Scheme-related grants and Access to Mobility grants.
