Grants of between £500 and £2,000 are available to individuals and not-for-profit organisations that are working to support sick, disabled and orphaned children in locations where Blackwood Engineering operate in the UK, Belgium, India and China. Its locations in the UK are Aberdeeg and Blaina in South Wales.
The Trust is particularly interested in funding projects that are mainly run by volunteers and receive little funding from statutory agencies.
Grants of between £500 and £2,000 are available with no matched funding requirement. A grant of over £2,000 can be made in exceptional circumstances. Applications supported by an employee of Blackwood Engineering are likely to be more favourably considered.
The Trust asks that applications are submitted, at the latest, 2 weeks before trustee meetings.
Further information, guidance and an application form, which can be downloaded, is available on the Trust’s website (scroll down the page to the section headed 'Applications').
They have several deadlines per year.
