Micro-grants and medium sized grants are available to charities working in the UK and/or overseas.
The Benindi Fund was previously known as the Robin Russell Charity. Robin Russell (21 January 1940 – 13 June 2003) was the 14th Duke of Bedford. He was a British peer, stockbroker and animal conservationist who became well known to the public by appearing in three series of the BBC reality TV programme Country House.
While primarily a supporter of animal and conservation causes, the Fund provides very small to medium sized grants to charities working in the UK and/or overseas in the following areas:
- Animal welfare
- Conservation
- Environment
- Heritage
As a general rule donations are not made to major national charities although a relevant local branch activity may be supported.
Please note that the Benindi Fund does not have a website. Further information is, however, available on the Charity Commission website. Grant applications are normally considered once a year by the Trustees. Applications should be submitted in writing.
