A limited number of grants for up to £500 are available for UK voluntary and community organisations and individuals for projects that encourage and develop artistic interest in young people under the age of 25, with a preference for activities that take place in the West Midlands.
The Philip Bates Trust has a modest grants budget from which it makes small grants to advance the education of young people under the age of 25 in the arts by:
- The provision of awards to encourage and support their pursuit of creative and artistic achievement, and
- The provision of financial support to projects or workshops, which aim to develop creative and artistic interests and skills in young people.
Voluntary and community organisations and individuals in the UK may apply for grant support. The Trust will prioritise applications for activities in the West Midlands. The following grants are available:
- Organisations: grants up to £500, and
- Individuals: grants between £100 and £250.
There is no matched funding requirement.
Applications should be made following the guidance available on the Trust’s website.
The Trust has three application deadlines each year, at the end of January, May and September for review in February, June and October.
