The Northwick Charitable Trust

Grants of between £1,000 and £50,000 for UK registered charities working in the UK and/or overseas in the areas of conservation, the environment, the relief of poverty, mental health, physical disability and youth work.

The Northwick Trust’s objectives are awards grants to registered charities, principally across the United Kingdom but also overseas, with a focus on:

•    Conservation and protecting the natural environment.
•    Enabling life-enhancing opportunities to the mentally and physically disabled.
•    Encouraging youth work concerned with helping the community, and
•    Providing relief from suffering and hardship.

The Trust takes a number of factors into account when awarding grants. These include:

•    The effectiveness and impact of the charity.
•    The financial position of the charity and whether the operations of the charity are on a scale that could benefit significantly from the amount of the donation, and
•    The level of administration costs (including how much senior executives in the charity are paid).

The Foundation also receives feedback on how the grants have been used and, when practicable, visit projects to which grants have been given or meet with representatives of the charities.

Applications may be made at any time in writing.
