The Odin Charitable Trust makes a small number of grants annually to UK registered charities. Grant awards can range from relatively small amounts to around £50,000.
While it supports a wide range of charitable causes, it gives preference to charities which support:
- The arts
- Care for people who are disabled and disadvantaged
- Hospices
- The homeless
- Prisoners families
- Refugees, gypsies and tribal groups
- Research into false memories and dyslexia
The trustees do not anticipate any significant changes to the charity or its activities over the next 2-5 years. Its intention is to meet the following objectives:
- To ensure the investment performance achieves the criteria set by them so that there are sufficient funds to meet their grant giving activities, and
- To continue to make grants at a similar, if not, higher level.
Please note that the Trust does not have a website. Further information is, however, available on the Charity Commission website.
All requests for grant support should be by letter or e-mail containing the following:
- Aims and objectives of the charity.
- Nature of appeal.
- Total target if for a specific project.
- Registered charity number, and
- Any other relevant factors.
Letters and emails should be accompanied by a set of the charitable organisation's latest report and full accounts.
Applications may be made at any time.
