Didymus CIO

Grants, generally up to £5,000, are available to smaller UK registered charities for projects in the UK, Central and South America and Africa for projects that encourage social inclusion, advance education, develop the arts, create opportunities for women and encourage religious understanding.

Because it's not entirely clear whether Didymus CIP is currently accepting application, eligible organisations are advised to "proceed with caution" if contemplating making an application for grant support.

Please note that while Didymus has continued to provide many smaller grants, it is increasingly focusing on working with a few charities over a longer period of time so that it can establish relationships and assist supported charities at a critical stage in their development.

Didymus states on its website that it is focusing it grant-making on organisations it has previously funded.

Although projects in London can be funded, Didymus is particularly keen to support projects outside of the capital.

Applicants should be:

•    A UK registered charity for 3 years, have lodged two sets of accounts with the Charity Commission, and have previously been successful in receiving funds from Didymus.
•    Applying for work based in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Africa or Central and South America
•    Applying for work that fulfils ones of Didymus’ 5 goals (see above).
•    Applying for a grant of £5,000 or less, and
•    Have an annual income of between £20,000 and £1,000,000.

Grants can be used for such things as (please note this is not an exclusive list):

•    Education and training.
•    Providing activities, and
•    Purchasing equipment.

Further information, guidance, an online Eligibility Quiz and an application form is available on the Didymus website.  Applications must be made via the online application form as emailed or posted applications are not accepted.

This fund was paused.  However, a new website is being constructed and deadlines during 2023 have been promoted.
