Grants for the Armed Forces

Grants generally under £1,000 for charities supporting current and former members of the Armed Forces, with a preference for charities operating in Dorset and Somerset.

The Bastion Baton is a small charity operating out of Honiton, Devon, with the following charitable objectives:

•    To promote the efficiency of the Armed Forces.
•    The relief of members and former members of the Armed Forces who are in need, through measures including (a) the promotion, protection and rehabilitation of the health and wellbeing of those injured or wounded whilst serving in the Armed Forces, and (b) providing grants to other charities which assist members and former members of the Armed Forces, and (c) raising awareness.

The Bastion Baton Charity provides a small annual grant budget from an annual expenditure which is normally around £20,000.  Grant awards tend to be under £1,000 with the occasional higher award.

The Charity is particularly interested in supporting charities working with current and former members of the Armed Forces in Dorset and Somerset.
