Grants from under £5,000 to, generally, £25,000 are available for UK registered charities for a wide range of charitable causes in the UK and overseas. The Foundation has a preference for supporting Jewish causes, although non-Jewish causes are also funded.
The Foundation is a discretionary grant-making charity with the objectives of applying its funds for “such charitable purposes as the Trustees shall in their absolute discretion from time to time think fit”. A mixture of Jewish and non-Jewish causes are supported by the Foundation. Many grants appear to be repeat awards, with the occasional new grant recipient.
