The R E Chadwick Charitable Trust

Generally small grants of between £500 and £1,500 are available to national UK charities as well as charitable causes in Yorkshire, particularly in the areas of the arts, health and medicine.

The R E Chadwick Charitable Trust is a family-based discretionary grant-making charity.  In theory this means the Trust can fund any charity or cause, although in actuality its past grant-making indicates a preference for national causes such as Christian Aid, Dementia UK and the Women’s Aid Federation, as well as support for local charitable causes in Yorkshire; for example Ripon Cathedral, Leeds Playhouse and the Darlington and District Hospice.

Charities working in the areas of health, medical causes and the arts are regularly supported.  Some UK charities working overseas are also funded.

Please note that the Trust does not maintain a website.  Further information is, however, available on the Charity Commission website.

Applications may be made at any time in writing.
