Small grants, usually for either £1,000 or £2,000, are available to UK registered charities working in the UK and/or overseas for a range of charitable purposes. Charities working in the areas of children and young people, health and disability are regularly supported.
The Hasluck Charitable Trust is a discretionary grant-making charity with the flexibility to support a wide range of charitable causes.
The Trust allocates half of its grant funding to the following 8 charities:
- Barnardo's
- International Fund for Animal Welfare
- Macmillan Cancer Support.
- Mrs RH Hotblack's Michelham Priory Endowment Fund.
- Royal Society for the Protection of Birds
- Scope
- The Riding for the Disabled Association, and
- The Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
The remaining funds are distributed to such charitable bodies as the Trustees decide. These are normally smaller grants of £1,000 or £2,000. Charities working in the area of health, disability, children and young people are regularly supported.
Please note that the Trust does not have a website. Further information is, however, available on the Charity Commission website.
Distributions are generally made in January and July, although consideration is given to appeals received at other times of the year. Only successful applicants are notified of the Trustees' decision.
Applications may be made in writing.
