The Taylor Family Foundation

Small and larger grants are available to UK registered charities for projects that support children and young people.

The Taylor Family Foundation provides grants to UK registered charities which deliver services or run projects in the areas of:

•    Health.
•    Performing Arts, particularly dance and drama.
•    Recreation, and
•    Support to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Grants are also made to charitable organisations both in the UK and overseas that operate in other areas, at the discretion of the Trustees.

The Foundation has recently announced that the majority of its grant awards in the future will focus on projects that support young people aged 11-25 years old.  Although the Foundation will fund across the UK, smaller grants are more likely to be directed to projects in the London Borough of Merton, where the Foundation is based.

The specific objective of the Foundation are:

•    To advance the education of children at school, playgroups and colleges by working with approved agencies, charities or statutory bodies in providing facilities and resources not normally provided for by the Local Education Authority.
•    To promote the Arts by working with approved agencies and other charities providing children and adults access to training and tutoring, and performances in the discipline of Drama and Dance.
•    To provide or assist in the provision of facilities for recreation and other leisure-time occupation for young people and children by working with approved agencies and other charities to help enhance sports and recreational facilities in the community; and
•    To further such other purposes charitable under the law of England and Wales as the Trustees see fit.

Organisations that feel their project proposal aligns with the Foundation’s funding objectives are invited to complete the Contact Form on its website.  This should include a summary of the project aims, beneficiaries and location, together with the applicants’ contact details.

The Foundation will then arrange to discuss potential eligibility and whether it is something it may be interested in funding.  If this is the case, applicants will be asked to complete an application form so that the Foundation can further assess the request.
