A recently founded grant-making trust with the ability to award grants to UK registered charities working in the UK and/or overseas in a wide range of charitable causes.
Bristol-based the Orkney Cherry Charitable Trust is a recently formed family grant-making charity, with just two trustees, June Miller and Alexander Miller.
The Trust is registered with the Charity Commission with its principal aim of awarding grants to charitable organisations. Its governing objectives are: “to apply the income….for such charities or such exclusively charitable purposes….in any part of the world as the trustees….think fit”.
As a new grant-making Trust with no annual accounts or record of how and what level it awards grants, this is perhaps a Trust to bear in mind for the future as it develops its portfolio.
The Trust does not have a website. Further information can be found on the Charity Commission website.
Enquiries about grants may be made at any time in writing.
