The Access Foundation

Grants of between £20,000 and £50,000 are available to registered charities, Community Interest Companies (CICs) and educational institutions in England, Scotland and Wales for projects that make computing facilities and learning available to disadvantaged and vulnerable people in England, Scotland and Wales.

The aims and objectives of Loughborough, Leicestershire-based The Access Foundation are to support organisations who have, as a key objective, the mitigation of the digital divide, by making computing facilities, support and/or learning available to:

  • Disadvantaged and vulnerable people
  • Support charities who have been chosen or shortlisted as the Access Group charities of the year, and
  • Support charities who have a “strong emotional connection” with a member of staff of Access (for example, through support they or a close relative have received from the charity).

Grants of between £20,000 and £100,000 are available to registered charities, Charitable Incorporated Organisations (CIOs), Community Interest Companies (CICs) and educational institutions in the countries where the Access Group operates.  A list of all Access Group locations is available on its website.

Grants of between £25,000 and £50,000 over a 12-month period are available for specific services, activities, initiatives or projects with clearly identified and measurable outcomes.

Applications may be made at any time.
