A discretionary grant-making charity that makes a limited number of awards each year to UK registered charities working in the UK and/or overseas. Projects previously supported by the Trust include those that address environmental issues and improve wildlife habitats, as well as initiatives to benefit the Middle East.
The Barham Charitable Trust is a discretionary grant-making charity with the flexibility to support a wide range of charitable causes. Its charitable objectives are:
- To further such objects or purposes which are exclusively charitable according to to the law of England and Wales in any part of the world and in such manner as the trustees may in their absolute discretion think fit, and
- To apply the income and, in their absolute discretion, the capital of the Trust in promoting the objects in such manner as the trustees in their absolute discretion think fit and in doing so may make grants and donations to such institutions, foundations, trusts, individuals and undertakings, at such time, in such manner and of such amount as the trustees in their absolute discretion think fit.
The Barham Charitable trust is one of a number of grant-making charities that are administered by the Ludlow Trust. The Trust doesn’t have its own website, nor does it publish a list of grant recipients in its annual accounts. Given its limited annual expenditure, grants are likely to be small.
