The Ashla Charitable Trust is a family-based grant-making charity that awards a limited number of grants each year. The administration of the Ashla Charitable Trust is provided by the Ludlow Trust Company Limited, which looks after the affairs of a number of charities from its offices in Bristol.
The objects of the Trust are to further such objects or purposes which are exclusively charitable according to the law of England and Wales in any part of the world and in such manner as the Trustees may in their absolute discretion think fit. However, the Trust’s previous grant-making suggests some preference for charities operating in the Bath, Somerset area with recent grants to Bath Festivals and Bath Welcomes Refugees.
In particular, the Trust provides support for:
- The arts
- Humanitarian aid
- Education
- Women’s rights
Please note that the Trust does not have a website. Further information is, however, available on the Charity Commission website.
