One-off and recurring grants are available to UK registered charities. A wide range of charitable causes are supported, principally
- the advancement of health
- education
- people in need and the relief of poverty
- arts
- culture
- heritage
- science
Grants range from under £2,000 to around £50,000.
The Trust’s principal source of its income is from its investments. No significant changes to its level of income are envisaged in the coming years.
Recent grants have been made to charities working in the fields of:
- Amateur sport.
- Animal welfare.
- Citizenship and community development, and
- Environment.
Grants are also very occasionally awarded for religious causes.

Each application considered on its own merits. The trustees meet twice annually to review applications, which may be made at any time in writing.
