Core funding grants of up to £150,000 over 3 years are available to UK not-for-profit organisations whose main purpose is working with and for young people aged 14-25 who are facing a complex transition to adulthood.
Priority is given to organisations working outside of London. Work that is committed to anti-racism and that applies an intersectional lens to inequity will also be prioritised for grant support. The term 'intersectional' in this context refers to the interconnected nature of social categorisation such as race, class, and gender as they apply to an individual or group, regarded as creating overlapping and interdependent systems of discrimination or disadvantage.
Core funding grants up to £150,000 are available for organisations that:
- Seek to sustain, prepare to grow, or grow impact with and for young people.
- Put young people at the centre in terms of power, voice and agency – as part of an asset-based approach, starting with recognising and building on young people’s strengths and potential.
- Aim to achieve wide impact for young people (for example, going beyond direct delivery and focusing on systemic or structural change).
- Are committed to continuous improvement in asset-based approaches to working with and for young people, and
- Support young people who are facing complex transitions, challenges and barriers to accessing support and opportunities. Particularly young people who are socially excluded or marginalised; whose experiences can be hidden or less well known; and whose voices are often erased or ignored.
To be eligible to apply, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be not-for-profit.
- Have an income between £30,000 and £3.5 million.
- Predominantly working to support young people aged 14-25.
- Provide direct services and/or second-tier support.
- Working at either a local, regional and/or national level, and
- Working in the UK.
The application process is as follows:
